Deep Pressure Sensory Vest
This vest is designed to be pulled snug against the child's body, providing proprioceptive deep pressure feedback and stability. The smart design lets you adjust the fit to give smooth, even pressure across the shoulders, chest, and stomach for a full upper-body hug. Wearing the vest can increase child's body awareness, calm nerves, help promote attention and concentration, reduce fidgeting, and ease anxiety and tantrums. It can help develop proprioceptive integration and can decrease hyper-responsiveness, making it a great choice for children with autism spectrum disorder, integration dysfunction, attention-deficit disorder, and more. The vest is made of two separate pieces, front and back, that attach with wide strips of hook-and-loop fasteners. The fasteners on the shoulders and sides provide a wide range of adjustability, to suit a variety of body shapes. The adjustable fasteners are easy to move for tighter or looser feel. The location of the straps on the sides and shoulders, as opposed to other vests that adjust in the front, reduce the likelihood of accidental removal by the child, and works well with children who may become preoccupied with a front closure. Made from durable, flexible neoprene that is breathable and helps wearer maintain a comfortable body temperature. It can be worn under or over clothing. Machine washable.
