Z-Vibe
|
|
The Z-Vibe is a vibrating tool for oral-motor stimulation and sensory input, designed by a speech-language pathologist. The gentle vibrations stimulate the gums, palate, and tongue. They can also be used outside the mouth on the cheeks and lips. • Comes with textured plastic handle. The Z-Vibe and all tips are made of medical grade, FDA compliant materials that contain no lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex. About 3.5" long. • You can connect to the Z-Vibe any of the tips shown. The tips screw into the handle and can be easily changed or replaced. • You can use the Z-Vibe with one tip, as shown in the photo above, or as a double Z-Vibe simply by unscrewing the switch end, and connecting another tip instead. For example, attach the Probe tip to one end and a spoon tip to the other, so you can first "wake up the mouth" with the probe and quickly switch to feeding with the spoon. • You can turn it off with the switch end, so there is no need to touch the tip that has just been in the child's mouth. • The Z-Vibe comes with one Probe Tip. Other tips are sold separately. The Z-Vibe takes a special battery which is not readily available in stores. We recommend buying spare ones. Use with adult supervision.
