E-Z Spoon
A spoon designed specifically for individuals with extreme oral hypersensitivity. Designed by Debra Beckman, MS, CCC-SLP, a speech pathologist with expertise in oral-motor function. E-Z Spoon has a shallow blade to promote lip closure. It is small enough to prevent gagging, and the material is flexible to reduce the chance of injury to oral tissue if tonic bite occurs. The narrow handle allows the caregiver to easily place food to the side or in the corner of the mouth. The durable E-Z Spoon can also be used as a tongue depressor.
